How to fix it

  1. Unplug the refrigerator at the wall.
  2. Pull the unit out and remove the lower rear access panel.
  3. Vacuum the condenser coil and fan housing thoroughly.
  4. Spin the fan blade by hand — should rotate freely with no grinding.
  5. Apply power and confirm the fan starts; replace motor if it does not.
