Frigidaire Oven F0 — Touchpad / Membrane Communication Error

Frigidaire Oven · Error code F0

What F0 Means

The control cannot reliably read the touchpad — either no response or garbled data over the keypad ribbon. Common on older models after years of heat exposure.

Symptoms

  • F0 on display
  • Some buttons work, others don't
  • Random key presses register themselves

Common Causes

1
Failed touchpad / overlay

Internal traces in the membrane have cracked.

2
Loose or oxidized ribbon connection

Tail not seated in the ZIF connector on the EOC.

3
Failed EOC

Keypad interface on the control is bad.

How to Fix It

  1. Power off.
  2. Open the control panel and reseat the touchpad ribbon at the EOC — make sure the ZIF latch is closed.
  3. Inspect the ribbon for cracks or brown burn marks.
  4. If reseating clears the fault, you're done. If not, replace the touchpad.
  5. Replace the EOC if the new touchpad doesn't resolve it.
