How to fix it

  1. Power off at the breaker for 5 minutes — clears soft communication faults.
  2. Restore power and try a Rinse Only cycle.
  3. If F0E4 returns, pull the dishwasher and access the wash motor.
  4. Disconnect, inspect, and reseat the motor harness — look for corrosion or bent pins.
  5. Test motor for free rotation by hand (with power off).
  6. Replace the wash pump motor if the harness is clean and the motor doesn't respond.
  7. If a new motor doesn't clear it, replace the main control board.
