How to fix it

1. Let the oven cool fully and cut power at the breaker.
2. Remove the top panel (range) or the trim panel (wall oven) to access the latch assembly.
3. Clean the latch arm and slide with a damp rag to remove grease — do not lubricate with oil; use a high-temp dry lube only if absolutely needed.
4. Manually move the latch to lock and unlock positions to confirm free travel.
5. Test the latch motor with power restored — it should drive to lock when Self Clean starts.
6. Replace the door latch assembly if the motor stalls, the microswitch is broken, or the latch won't reach its end positions.
