SE — Stuck key / Shorted membrane
SE (Sensor Error or Stuck-key Error) means the control board sees a keypad button signal continuously, as if a key is being held down. Often caused by a failed keypad/membrane switch or moisture/grease intrusion.

How to fix it
- Unplug the microwave (or trip the breaker) for 5 minutes to clear the control.
- Plug back in — if SE returns immediately with no input, it is not a stuck button you pressed.
- Remove the control panel per the tech sheet and disconnect the keypad ribbon from the board.
- Power on briefly — if SE clears with the keypad unplugged, the keypad is the failed part.
