How to fix it
- Turn the breaker off and let the oven cool fully before opening.
- With power off, inspect the bake and broil elements for arcing or shorts to ground.
- Restore power briefly — if any element glows without a cook command, the EOC's relay is welded; replace the EOC.
- Test the oven sensor — ~1080 ohms at room temp; replace if out of spec.
- Do not return the oven to service until the over-temperature root cause is fixed.
