F3 — Oven Sensor Open Circuit

F3 is an oven temperature sensor (RTD probe) or wiring fault — open or shorted depending on the model (on many Frigidaire ranges F30 = open RTD and F31 = shorted RTD). The control cannot read a valid oven temperature.

How to fix it

  1. Cut power.
  2. Remove the rear panel; unplug the sensor.
  3. Measure resistance — open = bad sensor.
  4. Replace the sensor and inspect harness routing.
  5. Reassemble and verify F3 is gone before returning to service.
