F7 — Function Key / Stuck Touchpad Button
The control sees a key on the touchpad held down for more than the allowed period at power-up. It refuses to enter normal operation until the input clears.

How to fix it
- Cut power for 5 minutes, then restore — sometimes clears a one-off glitch.
- Inspect the touchpad for swelling, grease, or visibly depressed buttons. Clean gently with a damp cloth.
- Disconnect the touchpad ribbon at the EOC and restore power. If F7 clears, replace the touchpad.
- If F7 persists with the touchpad disconnected, replace the EOC.
