F3E2 — Oven Temperature Sensor (RTD) Fault

F3E2 indicates a problem with the oven temperature sensor (RTD) or its wiring — open, shorted, or out of range. It is not an over-temperature condition (that is a different F3-family code). Test the sensor (~1080 ohms at room temperature) and its harness.

How to fix it

  1. Cut power immediately at the breaker.
  2. Inspect the bake and broil elements — if they remain powered with the control off, a relay is welded.
  3. Test the temperature sensor (should read ~1080 ohms at room temp).
  4. Replace the control/relay board if a relay is stuck.
  5. Replace the sensor if it reads out of spec.
  6. Do not run the oven until the cause is fixed — risk of fire.
