How to fix it

  1. Disconnect power at the breaker.
  2. Remove the oven top trim to access the latch assembly.
  3. Visually inspect microswitches and lever — bend or wear is visible.
  4. Meter each switch for continuity in both latched and unlatched positions.
  5. Replace the door latch assembly (switches usually come as one unit with the motor).
