How to fix it

  1. Locate the two buttons labeled for unlock — commonly Rinse + Spray, or Half Load + Energy Saver depending on model.
  2. Press and hold both buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds; CL should clear with a tone.
  3. If the combo doesn't work, consult the model's user manual — combos vary.
  4. Wipe the control panel and verify no button is sticking.
  5. If buttons remain unresponsive after CL clears, replace the UI / display board.
