What CR Means

CR indicates the dishwasher is in factory / installer test mode. It is not a fault but the unit will not run a normal cycle until test mode is exited.

Symptoms

  • CR shown on display
  • Buttons trigger individual components instead of running a cycle
  • Unit appears 'stuck' but otherwise normal

Common Causes

Test mode entered during install

Installer ran self-test and didn't exit before leaving.

Accidental button combination

User pressed a key sequence that enters service mode.

Power-on with a key held

A stuck or held key during power-up boots into test mode.

How to Fix It

  1. Press POWER to turn the dishwasher off.
  2. Wait 10 seconds and press POWER on again.
  3. If CR remains, cycle the breaker for 2 minutes to fully reset.
  4. Inspect the control panel for any stuck or sticky button.
  5. Select a normal cycle and press Start to verify normal operation.
  6. If CR cannot be exited, replace the UI / display board.
