TE — Thermistor (temperature sensor) error

Generic temperature-sensor fault — the thermistor reading is out of valid range (open, shorted, or wildly drifting). Sensor cooking is disabled.

How to fix it

  1. Unplug 60 seconds, retest.
  2. Let the microwave cool fully before retesting.
  3. Measure thermistor resistance at room temperature; should be roughly 10K ohms.
  4. Inspect and reseat the connector.
  5. Replace thermistor if out of spec; if good, replace main PCB.

Typical signs: TE on display · Auto Cook / Sensor Cook fails · Sometimes appears only on hot restarts
