How to Fix It

  1. Power down at the breaker.
  2. Lift the cooktop to access the LR sensor.
  3. Measure sensor resistance (~1090 Ω room temp); replace if open or shorted.
  4. Trace the harness for damage; replace pigtail if needed.
  5. Reseat the connector at the cooktop board.
  6. Replace the cooktop control board if everything else checks good.
