How to fix it

  1. Power down at the breaker for 5 minutes.
  2. Pull the inner door panel and inspect the ribbon cable for kinks, breaks, or corrosion.
  3. Reseat both ends of the ribbon — UI side and ACU side.
  4. Replace the ribbon if it shows any damage.
  5. If the fault persists, swap the UI board first (less expensive); if still failing, replace the ACU.
