F4E1 — Oven Temperature Sensor (RTD) Fault

F4E1 indicates an oven temperature sensor (RTD) circuit fault — open OR shorted (out of range), not exclusively a short. Test the sensor (~1080 ohms at room temperature) and its wiring.

How to fix it

  1. Disconnect power.
  2. Remove the rear access panel and disconnect the probe receptacle harness at the EOC.
  3. Measure resistance across the probe jack leads.
  4. If shorted, replace the probe receptacle / harness.
  5. If the harness reads open with the jack disconnected but the code returns, replace the EOC.
