F3E3 — Inlet Thermistor Failure

The inlet thermistor (sensor near the heater) is reading out of range. The control cannot verify safe heating temperatures and shuts heat down.

How to fix it

  1. Unplug the dryer and access the heater housing per the tech sheet (back panel on most models).
  2. Locate the inlet thermistor on the heater housing.
  3. Disconnect and measure resistance — should be near 10K ohms at room temperature.
  4. Inspect the harness for melt damage from the heater.
  5. Replace the inlet thermistor; if the code returns, replace the main control board.
