How to fix it

  1. Power-cycle at the breaker for 5 minutes.
  2. If code returns, reseat the comm harness in the console.
  3. Replace the user interface board first as the more common cause.
  4. If still no fix, replace the main electronic control board.

Why it happens

Typical signs: F6E2 on display · Console partly responsive · Cycle hangs · Recurring random aborts

  • Bad ribbon/harness between boards Loose, broken, or corroded interconnect cable.
  • Failed UI board User interface has stopped reliably replying to the main control.
  • Failed main control board Comm side of the main board failed.
