E25 — Drain pump blocked

Per Bosch's official US error-code page, E25 can be caused by a number of issues — including a blocked drain pump or a loose drain pump cover (the same drain-family fault text Bosch also uses for E24).

How to fix it

  1. Power off at the breaker.
  2. Remove the bottom filter assembly and sponge out remaining water.
  3. Pop the drain pump cover (twist-off cap inside sump) and inspect/clear the impeller.
  4. Confirm the impeller spins freely by hand.
  5. Verify the garbage disposer knock-out plug was removed during install if drained through disposer.
  6. If the impeller is fine but pump won't run, replace the drain pump.

  • Object jamming drain impeller Glass shard, fruit pit, or screw stuck in the impeller.
  • Drain hose clogged or kinked Grease or debris blocking the line.
  • Clogged sink disposer Disposer not run after install / KO plug still in place.
  • Failed drain pump Motor seized or windings open.
