E25 — Drain pump blocked
Per Bosch's official US error-code page, E25 can be caused by a number of issues — including a blocked drain pump or a loose drain pump cover (the same drain-family fault text Bosch also uses for E24).

Drain pump blocked or failed
Diagnose first: Remove filter and check impeller for glass/seeds before condemning the pump.

How to fix it
- Power off at the breaker.
- Remove the bottom filter assembly and sponge out remaining water.
- Pop the drain pump cover (twist-off cap inside sump) and inspect/clear the impeller.
- Confirm the impeller spins freely by hand.
- Verify the garbage disposer knock-out plug was removed during install if drained through disposer.
- If the impeller is fine but pump won't run, replace the drain pump.
Why it happens
Typical signs: Standing water at end of cycle · Buzzing or humming from base · Drain pump runs but no water leaves
- Object jamming drain impeller Glass shard, fruit pit, or screw stuck in the impeller.
- Drain hose clogged or kinked Grease or debris blocking the line.
- Clogged sink disposer Disposer not run after install / KO plug still in place.
- Failed drain pump Motor seized or windings open.
