What 1-2 Means

Short detected on the wall console or safety sensor wires at the motor head. Often confused with 1-1; check both pairs.

Symptoms

  • 1 flash then 2 flashes
  • Door will not move from wall button

Crossed wires at the terminal block

How to Fix It

  2. Remove all four wires from the terminal block (wall + sensor pairs).
  3. Restore power. If the 1-2 clears, reconnect one pair at a time to isolate the short.
  4. Replace any wire run with damaged insulation.
  5. If the wall button is the source, replace it.
