E52 — Bad signal from tachometer on motor

How to fix it

  1. Unplug and tip the washer back.
  2. Reseat the small tach connector at the rear of the motor.
  3. Measure tach coil resistance — typically 60 to 150 ohms.
  4. Replace the motor if the tach coil is open.
  5. Replace the motor control board if tach reads fine but code returns.

Typical signs: No spin or weak spin · Drum spins then stops abruptly · E52 shortly after spin starts

  • Loose or broken tach wire Two-pin connector at rear of motor unseats.
  • Failed tach coil on motor Open winding in the speed sensor — check 60-150 ohms.
