PO — Power Outage Alert

The refrigerator detected a power interruption and is alerting you that interior temperatures may have risen above safe levels during the outage. The display flashes PO until acknowledged.

How to fix it

  1. Press and hold the Measured Fill or alarm-reset pad for 3 seconds to clear PO.
  2. Check that the unit is plugged in firmly and the breaker is on.
  3. Verify freezer contents — if ice cream is soft or meat above 40°F, discard per USDA guidance.
  4. Allow 24 hours for temperatures to fully stabilize before judging cooling performance.
  5. If PO returns without a known outage, check outlet voltage (should be 108–132 VAC) and inspect the cord.
  6. If voltage is correct and PO persists, suspect the main control board.
