The control detected that the vario (diverter) motor or spray-arm impeller is not turning as expected. The cycle pauses because water cannot be routed to the correct spray arm.

How to fix it
- Cancel cycle, open door, and reorganize dishes so both spray arms spin freely.
- Spin each spray arm by hand — should turn easily without scraping.
- Remove the lower arm and filter; clear any debris from the sump and diverter inlet.
- Run a short cycle and listen at the base — diverter should click between arms.
- If nE persists, pull the kick plate and reseat the vario motor harness.
- Replace the vario / diverter motor if it doesn't actuate.
- Inspect for cracks at the spray arm hubs that would cause wobble.
