How to fix it

  1. Press POWER, then Start/Pause to resume the cycle.
  2. If PF recurs, verify the dishwasher is on its own dedicated 15 A circuit per LG.
  3. Reset the breaker and confirm voltage at the outlet (108–132 VAC).
  4. Do not use an extension cord.
  5. Check the junction box wiring at the dishwasher for loose lugs.
  6. If PF appears repeatedly with no household outage, replace the power filter / EMI module, then the main PCB.

Why it happens

Typical signs: PF on display after a brief outage · Cycle paused mid-program · Display blinking on restoration of power

  • Tripped breaker Shared circuit trips and resets; PF logs the event.
  • GFCI nuisance trip Garbage disposer or sink GFCI shared with the dishwasher tripped.
  • Loose power-cord connection Cord at the junction box or outlet not fully seated.
  • Extension cord usage Use of an extension cord or undersized circuit produces voltage drops.
