How to fix it

  1. Power off at the breaker for 5 minutes and restore — clears transient comm faults.
  2. If recurring, remove the inner door panel and inspect the harness between touch panel and main board.
  3. Reseat both connectors; look for corrosion or pinched wires at the hinge.
  4. If wiring is good, swap the touch board first (less expensive), then the main board.
  5. Check the door gasket for leaks that could be soaking the harness.
