How to fix it

  1. Open the dishwasher door at the end of a cycle and check whether the vent door operates.
  2. Power off at the breaker for 5 minutes and run again.
  3. If recurring, remove the inner door panel and inspect the vent/fan assembly.
  4. Test fan motor windings; replace if open.
  5. Lubricate or replace the vent door mechanism if sticking.
