PC — Zone Wash diverter malfunction

On models with Zone Wash, the diverter motor that routes water to upper/lower/zone spray arms isn't operating correctly. Wash performance suffers.

How to fix it

  1. Power off at the breaker for 5 minutes and try again.
  2. Pull the filter and inspect the sump for debris that could jam the diverter.
  3. If recurring, pull the dishwasher and access the diverter motor under the tub.
  4. Test motor windings and inspect wiring connector.
  5. Replace the diverter motor assembly if windings are open or it's mechanically seized.
