C-d1 — Touchpad/Control Board Communication Fault

The main board can't read the keypad matrix correctly. Often the same root cause as C-d0 — a wet or failed touchpad — but sometimes the control PCB itself.

How to fix it

  1. Unplug the microwave for 5+ minutes.
  2. If C-d1 returns immediately, open the control panel.
  3. Reseat the touchpad ribbon at the main board; inspect for green/white corrosion.
  4. Disconnect the touchpad and power on briefly — if the error clears, the touchpad is at fault.
  5. Replace the touchpad/control panel assembly with the OEM part.
  6. If the error persists with the touchpad disconnected, replace the main control board.

Typical signs: C-d1 (or Cd1) on display · Keypad partially or fully unresponsive · Random beeping · Cycle will not start

  • Moisture/contamination under touchpad Common after spills or aggressive cleaning of the control panel.
