How to fix it

  1. Unplug for 5 minutes.
  2. Open the control panel and reseat the touchpad ribbon at the sub-PCB.
  3. Inspect the ribbon for kinks, tears, or corrosion.
  4. If reseating doesn't clear it, swap the touchpad first (cheaper), then the sub-PCB.
  5. Verify all keys respond after repair.
