C-h1 — Convection Heater / Thermistor Fault

On convection microwaves, the control could not bring the convection heater up to target temperature in the allowed time, or the convection thermistor read open/short.

How to fix it

  1. Unplug the microwave and discharge the HV capacitor.
  2. Ohm the convection heating element — open = replace.
  3. Verify the convection fan spins freely; replace motor if seized.
  4. Test the convection thermistor against the model's resistance chart.
  5. Check inline thermal cutoffs near the heater for continuity; replace any that are open.
  6. If all subcomponents test good, replace the main PCB.
