What -dC- Means

On a Flex Duo / Dual Cook range or oven, the Smart Divider is installed while a single-cavity (full oven) mode is selected.

Symptoms

  • -dC- (or dC) flashes when starting single mode
  • Oven won't begin the cycle
  • Code clears when the divider is removed

Common Causes

Divider left in for full-cavity cooking

User chose single mode without removing the divider.

Failed divider sensor

Switch reads 'installed' with nothing inserted.

How to Fix It

  1. Open the oven and remove the Smart Divider.
  2. Restart the cycle.
  3. If the code persists with the divider out, inspect the divider sensor area for debris.
  4. If the sensor reports 'installed' empty, service is required to replace the divider switch.
