bAd LinE — Bad Power Connection

Samsung's official 'bad line' message: the oven detects an incorrect or incomplete power connection. Often one of the two 120V legs is missing or the terminal block is miswired.

How to fix it

  1. Shut off the breaker.
  2. Verify both halves of the double-pole breaker are on; reset if needed.
  3. Pull the range / wall oven and inspect the terminal block — confirm both hot leads, neutral, and ground are landed correctly per the install manual.
  4. Retighten all terminal block screws.
  5. With power on (and care), measure 120V from each hot to neutral and 240V hot-to-hot at the block.
  6. If voltage at the block is wrong, the issue is upstream (breaker, panel, or utility) — call an electrician.

  • One 120V leg missing Tripped breaker on one pole, blown fuse, or open splice.
