Incoming line voltage is outside the acceptable range, so the washer halts to protect its control and motor. US units are designed for ~120 VAC; the control trips on sustained over- or under-voltage (exact thresholds vary by model). Check the outlet and household supply rather than assuming a washer fault.

How to fix it

  1. Plug the washer directly into a dedicated 120V wall outlet — no extension cord, no power strip.
  2. Measure the receptacle with a multimeter — should be 114-126 VAC under load.
  3. Try a different known-good outlet on a separate circuit.
  4. If 9E1 persists on confirmed-good power, replace the EMI noise filter at the inlet.
  5. If still failing, replace the main control board.
