How to fix it

  1. Open door, clear any laundry from the seal/boot, and firmly push the door shut until you hear it click.
  2. Inspect the door strike (the metal/plastic hook on the door) for wear or play.
  3. Power-cycle the washer at the breaker for 60 seconds.
  4. If the code returns with no obstruction, replace the door lock assembly.
  5. If a new lock doesn't fix it, suspect the main control PCB.
