What LO Means

The control board commanded the door lock but did not receive confirmation that it engaged (or it won't release). Often a wiring/lock problem rather than a stuck door.

Symptoms

  • Cycle stops early with LO or FL

How to Fix It

  1. Unplug the washer or trip the breaker for 5 minutes — the lock often releases on power-down.
  2. If the door is still locked, drain the tub via the front filter before forcing it open.
  3. Remove the top panel and check the door lock harness for damage or loose connectors.
  4. Test continuity across the door lock terminals per the tech sheet — replace lock if out of spec.
  5. If a new lock and intact wiring don't fix LO/FL, replace the main control board.
