How to fix it

  1. Unplug the dryer.
  2. Access the blower housing (usually behind the back panel) to find the thermistor.
  3. Clean lint off the thermistor body with a soft brush.
  4. Measure thermistor resistance with a multimeter — should be ~10kΩ at 70°F.
  5. Check continuity of the wires from the thermistor to the main control.
  6. Replace the thermistor if resistance is out of spec or open.
