How to fix it

  1. Unplug the dryer for 5 minutes.
  2. Open the control console and inspect the harness between UI and main control.
  3. Reseat both ends of the connector.
  4. Inspect the harness for damage along its full run.
  5. Replace UI board first if reseat doesn't fix; if F28 persists, replace main control.

Why it happens
