How to fix it
- Unplug the dryer.
- Fully reset the 240V breaker (push hard to OFF, then ON).
- Test the outlet with a multimeter: 240V L1-L2, 120V each leg to neutral.
- Remove the rear access cover and check that all three terminal block screws are tight.
- Replace the power cord if voltage at outlet is good but missing at the terminal block.
- Call an electrician if the outlet itself is missing a leg.
