What E04 Means

The washer is not filling with water within the allowed time. The cycle stops and the inlet valve closes.

Symptoms

Common Causes

Hot/cold faucets at the wall are off or partially closed.

How to Fix It

  1. Confirm both hot and cold supply valves are fully open.
  2. Shut off the supply, disconnect inlet hoses, and clean the mesh screens.
  3. Straighten any kinks in the fill hoses.
  4. Reconnect, briefly open the valves to flush any debris into a bucket.
  5. If no fill, test the inlet valve solenoid resistance (~1000 ohms typical).
  6. Replace the inlet valve assembly if a solenoid is open.
