What 4-3 Means

Door travel limits have not been programmed, or the opener has lost them. Without learned limits the opener will not run a full cycle.

Symptoms

  • 4 flashes then 3 flashes
  • Door runs only while button is held
  • Door does not auto-stop at limits

Encoder cannot retain position.

How to Fix It

  1. Press and hold the Adjust button on the motor head until the up arrow LED comes on.
  2. Press and hold the up arrow until the door reaches the desired open position.
  3. Press the Adjust button again — the down arrow LED comes on.
  4. Press and hold the down arrow until the door is fully closed.
  5. Press Adjust one more time to save.
  6. Cycle the door twice from the wall control so the opener learns force.
