888 — Display Self-Test / Demo
All segments lit ('888' or all icons on) is normally a display self-test at power-up. If it stays on, the unit may be in showroom/demo mode or the user-interface board has failed.

How to fix it
- Power-cycle at the breaker for 1 minute, restore power, and watch the boot-up self-test (~5 seconds is normal).
- Consult the model's Owner's Manual for the demo-mode exit sequence (often Heated Dry + Start held 5 seconds).
- If the display stays solid, remove the inner door panel and reseat the ribbon cable between the UI and main control.
- Replace the UI/console board if buttons still don't respond.
