How to fix it
- Press and hold the 'Heated Dry' (or labeled 'Lock') pad for 3 seconds until the lock icon clears.
- On some GE models the unlock pad is 'Cycle' or 'Steam'; consult the model badge.
- If holding doesn't unlock, power-cycle at the breaker and retry.
Why it happens
Typical signs: Padlock icon on display · Buttons beep but do nothing · 'LOC' or 'CL' shown on some models
- Child-lock intentionally enabled User or child held the lock pad.
- Accidental long-press Wipe-down across the touch panel held the lock pad long enough to engage.
