Sanitized LED Off Minor Easy DIY

GE Dishwasher Sanitized Light Off / Not Sanitized

GE Dishwasher · Error code Sanitized LED Off

What Sanitized LED Off Means

When a sanitize cycle finishes and the 'Sanitized' indicator does NOT illuminate, the dishwasher could not maintain NSF/ANSI 184 final-rinse temperature (~150°F).

Symptoms

  • Sanitized LED stays off after a sanitize cycle
  • Cycle ran to completion
  • Inlet water feels lukewarm at the sink

Common Causes

1
Inlet water below 120°F

Water heater set too low or long supply run lost heat.

2
Weak heating element

Element resistance drifted high; water heats slowly.

3
Excess cold purge

Long undersink supply line filled with cold water at start of cycle.

How to Fix It

  1. Set water heater to 120°F minimum (recommended).
  2. Run hot water at the kitchen sink for 30 seconds before starting the dishwasher.
  3. Ohm the heating element; replace if reading is high or open.
  4. Avoid running a major hot-water load (shower, washer) at the same time.
