What Error 17 Means

Robot lost track of its location or couldn't find its way back to where it started/the Home Base.

How to Fix It

  1. Carry robot back to Home Base manually.
  2. Leave doors open during cleaning cycles.
  3. Keep Home Base in a permanent location with 1.5 ft clearance on each side and 4 ft in front.
  4. On i/j/s/900 series, wipe the camera lens on top of the robot with a soft dry cloth.
  5. Ensure rooms have adequate ambient light during scheduled cleans.
  6. Re-train smart maps in the iRobot app if room layout changed significantly.
