The fix
Roomba brush bearing / end cap replacement kit
Main brush jammed by hair/debris, or worn bearings/end caps
Diagnose first: Clear hair and debris from the brush and bearings first — that resolves most Error 2s for free. Replace bearing caps or extractors only if the brush still binds or won't spin freely once clean.

How to fix it
- Remove the brush guard or extractor frame (pull tabs or slide release depending on model).
- Lift out both brushes / extractors.
- Remove the colored end caps and clean all hair and debris from the bearings.
- Inspect the brush cavity and motor coupling for stuck debris.
- Reinstall brushes and verify they turn freely by hand.
- Press CLEAN and listen — brushes should spin smoothly. If Error 2 returns, replace bearings/caps or the brush motor module.
