How to fix it
- Remove the reservoir, fill to the MAX line with fresh water, and reseat firmly on the base
- Check the float inside the reservoir moves freely up and down
- Clean the reservoir with warm soapy water to remove scale around the float
- Tap the side of the reservoir to dislodge a stuck float
- If the light persists with a full, properly-seated tank, the sensor in the base has failed and the unit typically needs replacement
