What Brew Interrupted Means
Displayed on K-Supreme, K-Elite, and K-Cafe touchscreen/LED models when the brewer detects a flow problem partway through a cycle. The brewer aborts to prevent overheating the heater dry.
Symptoms
- Brew Interrupted message on display
- Partial cup dispensed
- Brewer beeps and powers down or returns to home
- Repeats on subsequent attempts
Common Causes
Espresso-grind or oily pod debris restricts flow
Partial blockage in internal tubing
Reservoir bumped loose during brew
K-Cup not fully seated or punctured off-center
How to Fix It
- Lift the handle, discard the pod, and clean the entrance and exit needles with a paper clip
- Wipe the pod holder clean and reinstall
- Confirm the reservoir is filled and firmly seated
- Run a water-only cycle to clear the lines
- Try a fresh K-Cup; avoid pre-punctured or refillable pods packed too tightly
- If repeated, perform a full descale
