What LE means
LE (Locked Motor Error) means the motor could not turn the drum, or the control board detected a rotor-position/Hall-sensor fault. It often points to an overload or a motor/sensor problem.
Most likely fix
Primary fix
Hall sensor assembly
Motor locked error - hall sensor or stator issue
Tools: socket set, screwdriver, putty knife
Diagnose first: Most often a failed hall sensor on top of the rotor; sometimes overloading or a seized bearing triggers it.

Symptoms
- Drum will not spin
- Cycle stops early
- LE on the display
Common causes
- Overloaded drum Too much laundry physically prevents the drum from turning.
- Hall sensor fault The rotor-position sensor on the direct-drive motor has failed.
- Worn motor or bearing A seizing bearing or failing motor stalls the drum.
How to fix it
- Remove some laundry to rule out an overload and restart.
- Unplug for 1 minute to reset the control.
- Inspect the rotor and Hall sensor at the back of the drum.
- If the drum is hard to spin by hand, inspect the bearing and motor.
