How to fix it
- Power off and unplug the washer.
- Open the small panel at the front-bottom, place a towel/tray, and unscrew the drain pump filter slowly to drain the water.
- Clean lint and debris from the filter and the housing.
- Check the drain hose for kinks and clear any clog at the standpipe.
- If the pump still will not drain after cleaning, test/replace the drain pump.
Why it happens
Typical signs: Standing water left in the drum · Cycle pauses or stops mid-wash · OE shown on the display
- Clogged drain pump filter Lint, coins, and debris collect in the pump filter behind the small access panel at the front-bottom of the machine. This is the #1 cause.
- Kinked or clogged drain hose The corrugated drain hose at the back can kink or clog where it meets the standpipe.
- Failed drain pump A pump that hums but does not move water, or is silent, has likely failed.
