How to fix it

  1. Unplug the microwave for 5 minutes.
  2. Restore power — if F6E1 returns, prepare to access the control area.
  3. Remove the control panel cover or grille to access UI and main boards.
  4. Disconnect and reseat the ribbon cable between the UI and the ACU at both ends.
